The event is part of the Turkish Israeli Civil Society Forum that connects Israeli and Turkish organizations and sponsored by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty

The Jerusalem and Istanbul branches of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom are proud to present a unique online event, that is part of the Turkish Israeli Civil Society Forum initiative.The Turkish-Israeli Civil Society Forum was established to reinforce civic relations between Israel and Turkey. The forum works in different ways to connect civil society organizations and expose Israelis and Turks to shared cultural and civic interests.In this live event, Michael Ross from Israel (“Mother Has Arrived”) and Israfil Ozkan from Turkey (Freedom Rights Association) will discuss how social media influence different aspects of Israeli and Turkish LGBT communities. The issues discussed will include:- Short history of the Israeli and Turkish LGBT communities
– The positive and negative experiences in Israeli & Turkish LGBT communities
– Social media strategies and methods that the LGBT communities use to fight against government discrimination
– The positive public response to the LGBT communities, especially for transgenders
