Over the past few years CETOBaC as a team has been striving to be part of solidarity programmes built for scholars at risk within the French academia. Along with other EHESS research centers and other university departments in France, we have continuously hosted several colleagues from Turkey following the crackdown on universities from 2016 onwards. Today more collective forms of support appear essential to help scholarly groups based in Turkey for needs and services such as access to academic resources, integration to scientific networks and also recognition for the teaching and research activities developed by and within alternative initiatives such as Solidarity Academies.

We therefore aim to improve our cooperation with off-university academic forums established in Turkey. This may initially be in the form of multilingual online meetings (in Turkish, English or other) which could span the next academic year(s). These meetings will be held as a joint initiative of CETOBaC and several collectives in Turkey, and members of each collective may take part in them as organisers and/or participants.
